Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actor. She made her debut in a Bond film called A View to a Kill in the year 1985. In 1989, she played Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Other roles include Siobhan Donavan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was asked by a photographer to model and began to perform the role of a model. Doody then began to build a career of commercial modelling. Doody was averse to glamour and nude work, a rule that was carried into her acting. In the event that she was brought to director's attention for an upcoming James Bond film, Doody took on a part on the film A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was listed as one of the top 12 promising young Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. Doody aged 18 in the role of Doody in Bond She was still the youngest Bond girl until today. A Prayer for the Dying starring Mickey Rourke also had a role for Doody in the character of IRA Siobhan. Doody had an unspoken role as the wife of Archibald Craven Lilias when she appeared in the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version of The Secret Garden. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she starred as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most recognizable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is a member of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody was in the British series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. Following her move to Hollywood, Doody became a star. The decision was made to replace Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokesperson and then was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his girlfriend and agent as Flannery's girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody was part of the 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony in recognition of an award. She was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version to King Solomon's Mines. Doody recorded a part in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama, aired on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014, she starred as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. She received the Almeria tierra de cinema award on the 21st of November, 2018.
